Bird watching in Northern Thailand

E-mail Print PDF

Doi Inthanon is the famous place for bird-watchers in Thailand because one can found 382 species or approximately 38.2% of all the birds in Thailand.

Thailand is a paradise for birds, and therefore also for Bird-Watchers. Some 992 species or approximately 10% of all the birds of the world can be found here. So it is understandable why Thailand has become a favorite destination for bird watchers from around the world.

The cool season is the best time for ornithologists of all levels to add new finds to their list, as it’s the time when birds migrate from the cold of the north-places like Mongolia, China, and Korea, flocking to their wintering homes in Southeast Asia.
