. In a rural village temple outside Chiang Mai  there is  young monk who has become recognized amoung Thai Buddhist monks as a master of the Thai Buddhist Tattoos or "Sak Yant". He is not famous like some other monks for doing imfamous gangster's tattoos but more for the respect he has earned from his fellow monks for his "special skills' he is well known amoung Thai monks visit him for his mystical power tattoos, not for doing famous westerner celebrities but for being true to his gift..

When one first lays ones eyes on "Pra Akenarin Yanaweero" you will think to yourself but he is so very young, with his baby like face and charming smile you wonder... is he old enough to have true powers to be called a master?

Then just maybe you think, is that our western concept, that the body is all there is? Then one recalls the Buddhist belief that we are reincarnated, just maybe he was a revered monk in his last life.

"Pra Akenarin Yanaweero" has become quite famous among other monks and practitioners for his skills as a Sak Yant Master. Not just for his skill with the needle but for their belief in the powers behind the needle and designs. When ask I asked he wants to do a tattoo for a foreigner, he simple stated in Thai of course "I love to do Tattoos" like it was is purpose for being. It has now been some time since I first meet ""Pra Akenarin Yanaweero"" and he has since become a full monk and still has a calm about him that gives one a sense of ease.

"Pra Akenarin" is young in body, but in soul, a great many generations older.

Please understand "Pra Akenarin Yanaweero" is like all proper Thai Monks not inclined to touch women and thus prefers not to do Sak Yant on women. If you're a women and want a Sak Yant you either go to Wat Nhong Khaem in San Patong or down to Bangkok.

I would just like to thank Jit of Thailand Weddings for taking me to meet TuK Egg and assisting with the translation about have a Sak Yant with this amazing master. His skills and gifts are amazing. I have had people comment the changes within me already, yet they do not know of my experience. Her assistance made it all possible and without her site and assistance I am sure i would not have known about this most amazing monk or been able to arrange it all...

I wanted to say thank you to the writer of this blog. I was able to find Tu Eak and the Wat and I received my yant in May . It was an incredible experience that I will be able to hold for the rest of my life.
