Cheese locally Made

For cheese and cookie lovers – Dacheeso products and The Hideaway Cafe.

You know guys and fellow girlies, as every expat here I regularly dream of cheese and some fine ham or bacon. I’m told it’s normal, but as a result I’m constantly on the prowl for these delicacies.

So, imagine my delight in discovering Dacheeso – locally made dairy products, meats, pickles, jams and bakery just 5 minutes drive from where I live. Yay!

So, the address is:

140/129-131 moo.10 Amornivet Village Chiangmai-Hod Rd, Chiangmai Thailand

All you have to do is drive along Hang Dong Road towards Tesco Lotus after The Airport Plaza. You’ll have to turn into moo baan just before the big purple building of Siam Bank on your left (its sign posted) and drive as straight as possible until you hit the Hideaway Café.

Dacheeso

It’s a pretty café, where you can sample the goodies straight away, all the produce is on the display in the shop there and then, and through the glass screen you can see people work in the bakery.

I was told that the owners are half Thai/half American, and the staff here speaks English and serves you without a problem.

But look at the lovely cheese, fresh milk, butter milk, sour cream – you name it, it’s there. And it’s all fresh, fresh, fresh! The bread is very close to European, and you can even buy your own flour and yeast to bake your own pastries. We’ve sampled so far some of the excellent smoked mozzarella and cream cheese with multigrain bread  - yummy!

I’ll do even better and give you the list of products – enjoy!
