Vdara Resort and Spa

Not so much knows about this place as it is located in the innermost part of Mae Hia, somewhat concealed from the town road. But purple Vdara signs are out the road for easier location. I live just behind this property and seeing the place impeccably charming, I decided to go look-see and have my dining experience as well. During the daytime, the place looks dead as you might see no one as you enter. But the sparkling, chlorine-free swimming pool beckons you to come in and taste what the resort has to offer.

The architecture of the place is awesome. I especially like the multicolored stained-glass adorning each doors and windows. I took a peek at their rooms and it is spacious than the usual standard size of hotel rooms. You should definitely see the venue during nighttime because it is exceptionally different from daytime. All the lit yellow lamps gives a feel of a mystic yet romantic ambiance perfect for those who want to escape the hubbubs of city life. Even the swimming pool has its own colored light beneath the water creating a fascinating feel to the My dining experience was quite a thrill since I felt I owned the place. It was so quiet and me and my family were the only customers. You get to eat open-spaced so you could gaze around while you eat or while you watch your kids take a swim. They offer Thai food and American breakfast with quite varied selections to choose from. I especially like the deep-fried coated fish in sweet and sour sauce and the tasty hot tom yum gung. The meal prices are affordable. They also offer food discounts if you would just buy their 200 baht coupon.

I saved a lot since we always eat there for special occasions. The waiters are attentive but doesn’t speak English but the manager does and he’s always around. What’s more?

You can swim right into their pool after you’ve ordered 500 baht worth of food or drinks , free. I love the jacuzzi at the corner of the pool. And on second thought, maybe you should have a dip in the pool first. They serve the food quite longer than expected.
