Baan Itsara (Freedom Family Home) is a family-based project run by a New Zealand Christian couple, who first arrived in Thailand in July 2005, and in 2008 started this life changing home for exploited and at-risk children.

To care for exploited children, including those at severe risk, in  Northern Thailand.

Baan Itsara Mission Statement
Baan Itsara is a Christ-centered residential home in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for exploited children and/or those who are at high risk of exploitation.

These children will enter into care between the approximate ages of  three and eight years old.  They will remain in care until they reach adulthood, or until they can be re-united with proven rehabilitated and stable families in the future.

Chiang Rai

Doi Chom Thong has been a sacred site for aextremely long time. The site was surely reverenced as the home of local spirits before Buddhism arrived in the area.
