Khamthieng plant Market

E-mail Print PDF

Khamthieng plant Market, is located behind the main Lotus store (Kamthieng) on the Superhighway or behind the JJ hobby market if coming from the NE corner of the moat. All types of plants and potted flowers, and home decorative items can be found there.

Khamthieng plant Market

The prices are low as the vendors often have small mark ups and work on volume there are few growers with stalls as well in there, but most are resellers. It is fun to practice your northern Thai or Burmese there as few people speak much English but in the world of plants you will be understood in any language.

Here you will also find Koi and other garden fish and turf for sale as well as most hand gardening tools that are not engine driven. (these are easy to find on the main highway infront of the market towards Chotana road)

The place is made up of 100's of small shops and you can enjoy spending many hours getting your bedding plants or landscape materials from this market in Chiang Mai. It is sure to have all your favorite annuals and other plants from back home but there are sure to be lots you have never seen before.  Or you can hire garden installer if you want, as many young richer graduates try their hand at doing landscape design businesses out of there it seems.
